Stepscan Releases New Video Imaging Module for the Stepscan® Gait Analysis System
Stepscan (previously ViTRAK Systems Inc.) is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its video capture module as a new feature of its Stepscan® gait analysis software.
The system's pressure sensitive floor tile system and gait analysis software measures under foot pressure distribution, as well as all temporal and spatial parameters of human gait. The incorporation of HD Digital Video Cameras supplements mobility assessments by allowing the capture of digital video. The video record illustrates the patient’s full body motion on two planes (front and side), synced in real time with the Stepscan® recorded gait assessment.

The camera and lens components of this module are provided by Basler. With headquarters in Ahrensburg, Germany (near Hamburg), and subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, and Asia, Basler is a leader in the world market of vision technology.
Founded in 1988, Basler is the largest unit volume producer of digital cameras for industrial applications in the world. Their premium cameras are predominantly used in industrial mass production, medical technology, the life sciences, retail applications, as well as in intelligent traffic systems.
